Scar Camouflage and Scar Microneedling for surgery and trauma scars in Norfolk.

Scar that have fully healed after 12 months and more ,that are lighter than the surrounding skin, can be camouflaged. 

The process is not an overnight fix, this may take multiple sessions.

Scars that are over a year old that are raised ( not keloid or hypertrophic- these cannot be worked on ) 

 Can have microneedling, which helps flatten the scar, reduces red and purple tones, this can prepare the scar for camouflage. Again this is not an overnight fixture, this can take multiple sessions.

Scars I can work on are:

  • Thin light and flat surgery scars- camouflaged

  • Thin light and flat surgery and self harm scars- camouflaged

  • Radiation / trauma burns- microneedling with repair collagen induction solution.

  • Trauma scars - a combination of camouflage & microneedling

  • Stretch marks- microneedling

  • You need to book a skin patch test which also includes a micro camouflage test to see if we can create a colour match. Sometimes we use up to 3 colours. 

  • You will then return for a quick evaluation in about 4 weeks.

  • If the colour is a good match, we can carry out the procedure.

  • How many sessions depend on the size of the scar.

Microneedling Collagen induction therapy

MCA and microneedling, creates controlled trauma to the scar, this encourage collagen formation, breaks down scar tissue and encouraged melancytes ( your natural skin colour )  this can improve the  mobility of the scar.

In some cases, it helps with the redness and prepares the scar for camouflage. Please note:

I cannot camouflage red and purple scars.

I will use a medical grade repair collagen and hyaluronic acid solution.
